This Saturday is the biggest small day of the year… Or the smallest big day of the year?? It’s small business Saturday, and it’s going to be a blockbuster day for your favorite local shops and vendors across Norfolk.
You can go HAM at the big box stores on Black Friday and get to clicking with the cyber bullies on Monday, but they don’t hold a light to Small Business Saturday.
Small business Saturday is the day when you get to meet a new local artist, find one-of-a-kind goodies, and put your spending back into your city. Plus, nothing quite compares to a small business owner’s smile when you shop with them. It’s a little dose of magic.
Reaver Beach is hosting a big ol’ small business Saturday market this weekend in partnership with Hank’s Vintage. From 2-7 pm, the parking lot will be filled to the brim with nearly two dozen pop-up vendors. And with a co-host like Hank’s, you already know there’s a big emphasis on vintage goods.
If you’re into hunting like Indiana Jones for the perfect worn Carhartt jacket or a magical mid-century chair, you’re going to have a spectacular Saturday at Reaver Beach. Clothes, furniture, home goods, jewelry, and one helluva good time.
The vintage adventure is appropriately going to have some accompanying acts. Dominick Hankle will be spinning tunes for the crowd of curious consumers. Of course, a market at a brewery wouldn’t be complete without beer, and Reaver Beach has an extra special beer on deck. They’re brewing a peppermint cocoa stout just for the occasion with all that vintage holiday feel. It’s called Throwing Hands for the Holidays, weighing in at a solid 7.7% ABV.
This Saturday, shop small, embrace adventure, find nostalgia, and have a grand ol’ time.
