It’s Foster Care Awareness Month, and our team got a chance to sit down with one of the region’s leading voices on foster care. While foster care may be invisible to many residents of the seven cities, its role is crucially important to the lives of many children and adolescents.
Tidewater Friends of Foster Care was founded in 2016 after Audra Bullock and her husband experienced the system firsthand. Today the organization has built a litany of programs that are closing the gaps in the foster care system and helping to bring education, stability, and community to children in foster care.
