Getting Those Gains with Adroit Collective

by | Feb 24, 2022

For those working hard to stick to their 2022 goal of being healthier but may be getting a bit stagnant in the run-of-the-mill gym scene, shake things up and try the Adroit Collective. Located in the Railroad District, The Adroit Collective might look low-key on the outside, but it packs big energy once you step through the doors.

The Adroit Collective Experience

The Adroit Collective lives by three pillars of health: fitness, nutrition, and community. Visitors will notice these themes throughout their gym experience. The gym strives to create an atmosphere of community and inclusivity, offering classes for people of varying skill and fitness levels. Every aspect of their operation embodies its goal of helping people better themselves, starting with the name. The definition of adroit is “clever or skillful in using the hands or mind.”

Here’s what the Adroit crew has to say about their unique gym: “The Adroit Collective exists to inspire, empower, and prolong the lives of each and every person that comes through our doors. We help create happier and healthier humans that live more fulfilling lives both inside and outside of our walls. A self-proclaimed CrossFit gym for people that don’t “do” CrossFit, we believe community and friendship is far more important than how much weight you can lift or how fast you can run. We believe fitness should be accessible to any and every body, and our doors are always open for anyone who is looking for a community to call their own.”

What to Expect

The Adroit Collective offers several workout options, from open gym time to classes for those that like a bit more structure to their gym grind. Class times also range widely, offering options as early as 5:30 am and as late as 7 pm to accommodate every lifestyle.

The “CrossFit” class is the primary class offered, which takes place Monday – Friday at various times throughout the day to accommodate different schedules. Classes are also available on Saturdays, including a barbell class at 9 am, and a 10 am community workout. Instructors are knowledgeable and accommodating, helping people of all different fitness levels to have an excellent experience that will challenge them in a positive and welcoming environment.

For those who like a bit less structure but still want the CrossFit gym feel, there’s open gym time on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 6:30 am – 7:30 am, and on Sundays from 9 am – 11 am.

If part of your goal is to improve your nutrition habits, there’s also an option to receive nutrition coaching.

For anyone interested in trying out The Adroit Collective, one of the biggest perks is that the first visit is free! You can shoot them an email at info@adroitcrossfit.com or message them on Facebook or Instagram.

If checking out online reviews, some of the most common words are “friendly,” “family,” and “encouraging.” The Adroit Collective strives to be a positive, community-focused gym, and they’ve built upon those sentiments right in the heart of Norfolk.
