Emergency Underworld Alert!
This Saturday, a rift in spacetime is expected to break open on 24th Street releasing a deluge of poltergeists, demons, and ghouls into Norfolk. Prepare to take shelter – or even better – join in on the terror.
It’s the 7th Annual LAVA Halloween Extravaganza, and it’s taking over the full block of 24th Street between Toast, Perro Blanco, and The Veil Brewing. Experts are predicting that the show may very well melt your face off or bring you to tears.
The event features a lineup of fully possessed tribute bands. Over 40 local musicians and bands have come together to form nine one-night only musical assemblages.
Some of the costumed cover bands are performed by local bands that regularly play together; some of the bands come together just for this event and, in some cases, are meeting for the first time when they started rehearsals for the LAVA Halloween Extravaganza!
On top of the fantastic lineup of crowd-pleaser covers, the Halloween Extravaganza includes a costume contest for all attendees, a Mystic Market curated by Velvet Witch, and copious refreshments from Perro Blanco, Toast, and the Veil.
